Clyne

A warm welcome, stunning views and all-year-around playability awaits you at Clyne Golf Club.

Designed by the legendary Harry Colt, in 2021 we celebrated our Centenary Year. Our moorland course offers a fine test of golf for all levels of handicap. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have all year round grass tees and championship quality greens.

Clyne is listed among Peter Alliss’s 200 Best Golf Courses in the British Isles. Indeed, Peter’s father Percy Alliss was Clyne’s first professional.

Clyne is in ranked in the Top 30 Courses in Wales by both Golf World and the website Top 100 Golf Courses.

In 2019 Wales Golf named Clyne ‘Golf Club of the Year’.

Pennard

A must play on any Wales golf break to Swansea. Pennard Golf Club was founded in 1896 and is a course of long tradition, history and repute.  A classic rugged links course situated 200ft above sea level leading to it being known as “”The Links in the Sky””.

It is blessed with free draining ground, which remains playable all year round with tight lies, running fairways and firm fast greens. Designed by the great James Braid, the 14th is named after him. Holes with a stroke index of 5 or less will test your golf, endurance and thought process!

With views to take your breath away the course is equal to any links around the coast of the UK. It is a real gem.

Whatever your standard of golf Pennard is sure to please. From relatively straightforward par 4’s to unplayable holes into a head wind and gorse to the left and right.

Pyle & Kenfig

A must play on any links golf break to Wales. Pyle and Kenfig Golf Course is affectionately known as ‘P & K’.

Lofty sand dunes hug the coast of Porthcawl. This undulating course has natural hazards of hillocks, valleys and towering dunes. However serious the game, time must be made to appreciate the panoramic views.

Unusually for a links course, Pyle and Kenfig is laid out in two loops of nine. The original front nine is where to make a score because the back nine is a very stiff test, especially when the wind is up.

The 11th hole, a 525-yard par five known as the Valley Hole, is where the dunes come in to play – from here on in, it’s sheer entertainment. This will test the mettle of the very best golfers.
