Course Description
Fairwood Park Golf Club was founded in 1969. This long woodland/parkland course is located on the outskirts of Swansea. It has hosted the Welsh PGA Championships on 2 consecutive occasions.
With over 15,000 mature trees and water coming into play on nearly half of its holes it certainly is an interesting test. With forgiving fairways, the most wayward of drives is punished by forcing the overly ambitious to take some ‘wedge medicine’ !
As the flattest of all the golf courses on the Gower Peninsula, Fairwood Park can be enjoyed by all golfers. From the yellow boxes, the first hole is a fantastic Par 4 opener. It showcases the true beauty of woodland golf at its best, and at 435 yards it will certainly test the ability of most golfers to make par.
Certainly a popular addition to many a golfers itinerary when on a golf break to Swansea.
