Great Days Golf Masters Weekend 2026

Great Days Golf Masters Weekend 2026

Sun-drenched fairways, a beachfront hotel, lively nights out and the drama of The Masters on the big screen. The second Great Days Golf Masters Weekend had it all.

Forty golfers headed to Spain this April, with demand so high that, for the first time, the trip expanded into Masters 1 and Masters 2. From the moment the group arrived at the beachfront Hotel El Puerto, the atmosphere was electric. With the beach just steps away and Fuengirola’s bars, restaurants and nightlife right outside the door, golfers spent their evenings sharing beers, swapping stories and making memories. Old friends reunited, new faces instantly became part of the group and every night felt as good as the golf itself.

Adding to the atmosphere was Welsh rugby legend Shane Williams, who entertained the group with stories from his playing days before producing some of the best golf anyone has seen him play. There was also a brilliant story involving Mungo Harris, who had won his place on the trip in a silent auction at one of our charity events. Arriving as a solo golfer, he discovered he would be sharing a room with Shane. By the end of the weekend, Mungo had become a huge part of the group, and his story was the perfect example of how Great Days Golf brings golfers together.

Two brilliant days followed across some of the Costa del Sol’s finest courses. Masters 1 took on the dramatic elevation changes and panoramic Mediterranean backdrop of Cabopino Golf Marbella and Chaparral Golf Club, while Masters 2 enjoyed the tree-lined setting of Santa María Golf & Country Club and the rolling fairways and first-class facilities of La Cala Resort Europa Course. Terrace drinks, clubhouse laughs and two days of competitive golf made for a weekend nobody wanted to end.

By Sunday night, Barrie Thomas and John Rudd had earned their place in Great Days Golf history as our 2026 Green Jacket winners. Then came the crescendo to an unforgettable weekend. With the whole group together, beers in hand and the atmosphere at its absolute peak, everyone watched Rory McIlroy get over the line and win back-to-back Masters Tournaments.

The Green Jackets have been won and another unforgettable trip is in the books. After a weekend like that, it is easy to see why excitement for 2027 is already building.
