Dan Thomas joins Great Days Golf as Travel Manager
Great Days Golf is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Thomas as Head of Travel, strengthening the company’s mission to deliver exceptional golf travel experiences across the UK, Europe and beyond.
Dan brings a rare blend of professional golf expertise and high-level commercial experience from the world of elite sport. A former PGA Golf Professional with over a decade at Market Harborough Golf Club, Dan went on to build an impressive career in sales and hospitality, spending ten years with Leicester City Football Club during the club’s most successful era. His work helped steer the hospitality department to record sales year after year, generating over £5.5 million in revenue in his final season.
A lifelong golfer and +2.6 handicap player, Dan also represents Northamptonshire at County level and holds a PGA Level 3 coaching qualification, which he plans to use to support Great Days Golf’s Premium Partners and travel clients through personalised coaching and golf development opportunities.
In his new role, Dan will lead the continued growth of Great Days Golf Travel, designing bespoke packages that combine world-class golf with the personal service and attention to detail that define the brand. Working closely with everyone at GDG, he will play a key role in shaping the next phase of GDG’s travel strategy.

A former PGA Golf Professional, Dan spent over a decade at Market Harborough Golf Club, coaching players of all abilities and developing a deep understanding of the game. He later transitioned into a career in sales and hospitality, joining Leicester City Football Club where he helped lead the club’s hospitality department through its most successful era, generating record sales and overseeing premium matchday experiences during landmark achievements including the Premier League and FA Cup victories.
At Great Days Golf, Dan combines his lifelong passion for golf with his business acumen to grow and enhance the company’s travel division. He works closely with clients, partners and venues to create bespoke travel packages that blend world-class golf, exceptional service and memorable experiences.
